Individual Members

JAFP Individual members consist of certified and general members.

[1]Certified Members: CFP® certificants / AFP certificants

JAFP has been granting CFP® certification, a globally recognized credential, and AFP certification, a domestic credential. As a certification body, JAFP requires these candidates to submit applications which include a signed declaration to agree with JAFP's mission and to abide by the requirements that are established by the organization. (One of the requirements to sit for the CFP® certification examination is to be an AFP certificant.)
CFP® and AFP certificants provide high quality financial planning services with high professional ethical standards that are established by JAFP known as the Ethical Principles and meeting the certification renewal requirements.

Membership Requirement

Individuals must agree with the JAFP's mission and meet the requirements established by the organization.

Initiation Fee: 10,000 yen
Annual Membership Fee: 12,000 yen
Annual Fee for CFP® certificants: 8,000 yen

Initiation Fee: Waived
Annual Membership Fee: 6,000 yen

[2]General Members

Any individual who agrees with JAFP's mission may become a general member by signing the declaration to abide the JAFP Ethical Principles.
Should a certified member not fulfill the renewal requirements, the member status will be moved to general member category.
